About

Why three minor pieces?

In chess, the queen gets the headlines. But ask any player how games are actually won: it's the coordination of the so-called minor pieces — the bishop that sees across the board, the rook that holds the structure, the knight that finds the move nobody else can make.

That is our model of consulting. Not a star hire who leaves a deck behind, but pieces that work together on your side of the board: strategy that comes from having built the systems ourselves, infrastructure engineered to run for years, and execution that ships and then stays to operate what it shipped.

The founder

Bishop, Rook & Knight was founded by Arjun Sharma, whose eleven-year career spans AI, engineering, and finance: network engineering on one of the world's largest 4G rollouts at Ericsson, digital transformation across 500+ hospitals in six Asian markets, e-commerce strategy at LVMH's DFS Group in Hong Kong, and an MBA in Finance & Technology from CUHK Business School.

Most recently, as AI Manager at a DFSA-regulated investment firm in DIFC, he designed and delivered the firm's production on-premises AI platform end-to-end — hardware, inference, retrieval, evaluation — while building the deal flow, portfolio, and monitoring platforms the firm runs on daily, and producing equity research across metals & mining, semiconductors, and infrastructure.

He builds AI that ships inside regulated financial firms — and does the research it serves. That double fluency, in the technology and in the business it exists for, is the firm's edge.

The firm

Bishop, Rook & Knight is registered in IFZA, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and works with clients across the UAE, the wider GCC, and the United States. Standard business hours are 9:00–18:00 Dubai time (GST), with out-of-hours and US-timezone coverage available on premium terms.

We take on a small number of clients and go deep: most engagements are long-term retainers where we design, build, and then operate.
